Today in theory class we waited for the students who haven't take their test last week. It was pretty fun actually. In instrument class, I played my minor scale which contains natural, harmonic and melodic scale then at the end I played my own song and it was terrible. I couldn't play at all. I should really improve my practice skills in music, seriously.

Today in music theory class with Mr. John, he gave us back our score of our assessment. In instrument class, I gave Mr. Herry my new rondo composition, and I've got to say, the song was pretty good. I just need to do some final touches and then I'm done!

Last week I was absent, so in instrument class I plated my rondo composition and I suck at playing it because I didn't play it very well and I didn't practice as well, so it was a disaster for me. And in theory class, we did our quiz about diminished and augmented triad, it was fun and absolutely complicated at the same time.

14 November 2011, Monday

Today in theory class, I forgot to bring my music book and my folder so obviously I got a reminder. Then we heard Blanka's rondo composition and Ronaldo's composition as well. They were very good! After that it was my turn to play but I can only play half of it because my paper is at home so I didn't memorize half of it. And in instrument class, we wrote a relative minor key on our notebook.

Today in theory class, I did my music composition reflection and I stick the draft piece onto my reflection booklet. IN instrument class, I played my music piece to Mr.Herry. My C part was bad so I need to fix it and give it to Mr.Herry again.

7 November 2011, Monday

Today in theory class, we asked Mr.John for giving us our score for our music assessment score which is Indonesia Pusaka. Apparently I got 8.5 out of 10. I was quite impressed with my score but I'm still devastated I didn't prepare the song well, but at least I was able to sing it well. In instrument class, we watched other people's redo test, and I have to submit my hardcopy and my finale project and upload the blog on my music blog and give it to Mr.Herry.

Today in theory class, I did my music assessment and I did pretty well although I didn't do well in my preparation because I practiced/prepared my song last minute. But at least I was able to memorize the song lyrics which is a good thing though! IN my instrument class, Heidy and I didn't do anything but on second thought, I wanted to continue my blog but it seems like I have forgotten my email and my password so I had to make a new one which is quite devastating.

Today in theory class, we sang Indonesia Pusaka. I need to study for the song for assessment on Thursday and I ahve to finish my MDW and submit it on Thursday! And I also have to finish my song that I made.

27 October 2011, Thursday

Today there was a small quiz about major 7th chord and in instrument class. forgot to bring my paper that i've made for the finale, and Mr Herry recorded a video of Heidy playing her own song that she made. I need to finish the song and bring it in the next meeting.

Today I started making my A part of my song. So far, I didn't finish it because theres no time left. So hopefully I can finish it by thursday. I need to finish and practice half dim. 7th chord exercise from C to B.

Today in theory class we watched Shavira's music assessment and I've got to say, she did pretty well just now. And in instrument class we did the dominant 7th chord and major 7th and inversion I did pretty well but the time is almost over so we will do it next week.

Today I played my dominant 7th and in theory class my friends and I only took a picture one by one with their own instrument. Today is the best day every because we actually had free time during theory class! I did good on my dominant 7th, I don't think I faced any challenge so far.

Today we recorded a video of us playing the song for our music assessment and we also recorded a video of us playing the major 7th and dominant 7th! :)

Today in theory class, we played again for the music assessment and this time Mr JOhn record a video of us playing our own instrument. In my instrument class, I played my chosen song for my music assessment because Mr Herry wanted to hear our song. And after that we played the 7th chords and the inversions as well.

Today was very frustrating. In theory class, we had our music assessment based on our instruments and we had to play baroque songs. I was the last one who performed infront of the class and Thank God, I didn't make any mistakes during the assessment. After the assessment, I got a perfect score. I was very happy. And in instrument class, I played the inversion of 7th chord, from c till b. I didn't play it well but I get to practice at home.

Today in music theory, Mr John asked each and every people to go infront and write the major scales. In my music class (piano), Mr Herry taught us about the major 7th and dominant 7th. At first it was quite hard but suddenly I got the hang of it.

Today we did the minor harmonic and my group did the powerpoint presentation and it went really well. I didn't do great on my minor harmonic because I didn't practice often on my minor harmonic at my house.

Today we discussed about the greatest music composer and I was one group with Tathia and Ronaldo. We presented about the greatest music composer in every single period. In the next meeting, I have to make a powerpoint presentation and present it infront of the class.

Today during the theory class, Mr John taught us about the major and minor scale again but he added some of the intervals to it. And in my piano class, Mr Herry taught us about the natural, harmonic and melodic scales. I understand what Mr John said just now during the theory class.

Today Mr Herry taught us about the major scale and the inversion of it. Next week, I have to prepare my pop song for the assessment and I have to show/play harmonic and melodic scale to Mr Herry. I ahve to bring sonatina/sonata.

Today I learned about the major scales and the minor triad. Next week I have to be able to play the harmonic, melodic and natural minor scales. And I have to bring my sonata book next meeting.
